WALTER B. PLISHKA (BARNEY) Walter B. Plishka (Barney), born November 4, 1935 passed away suddenly and peacefully with Luanna at his side. Walter was predeceased by his first wife Beatrice of nearly 33 years; his parents, John and Lena; his brother Tom, his sister Ann Babiak and an infant brother. He will be sadly missed by his loving friend and companion Luanna and his sister Minnie. Walter was a very special "Grampa" to Jai Kotelko whom he cherished dearly. He will also be deeply missed by surviving nieces, nephews, co-workers, friends, neighbours and all of his extended family. Walter worked the farm in his earlier years then moving to Winnipeg. He enjoyed his years as a construction welder, travelling to various work areas. He loved fishing, gardening, carpentry, good ball games, especially the Blue Jays and working in his yard, that was well kept. The past 24 years have been spent at Gordon Siding often referred to as "Gods Country". Walter was a Grampa to all the Gordon children and was a daily support to all of the neighbours. Pallbearers will be his nephews. Prayers were held in Winnipeg on March 8 at 6:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Funeral services will be held at Fisher Funeral Home in Fisher Branch, MB today at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 9 with interment to follow at Fisherton Cemetery. VICHNAYA PAMYAT Time can never erase the memories we hold dear in our hearts. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
